After testing out the Beverly Hills Formula charcoal toothpaste, the brand offered me a trial of the new Precious Pearl Enamel Remineralising Serum. Yes, that really is quite the name for a toothpaste.
Calling a toothpaste a serum is pretty bold. It looks like a toothpaste and works like a toothpaste. But I think the idea is that it works like a serum in skincare, giving that bit of extra care and protection.
The product works by replacing the lost minerals in tooth enamel, making teeth smoother and stronger.
Rather than just working as a whitening toothpaste, it is trying to make your teeth stronger and resistant to developing damage and cavities.
If it’s a whitening product you’re after, you’re much better off going for the charcoal toothpaste, I really did see an improvement in the colour of my teeth after using a tube of it.
While my teeth haven’t dramatically improved while using Precious Pearl, my teeth do feel smoother, and are slightly less sensitive then they were before.
I’ve also paid more attention to how long I brush my teeth for. On the back of the tube it reminds the user to brush their teeth for two minutes. How often do you actually brush your teeth for two minutes? I’ve been counting how long I brush for, and I’ve realised I’ve probably only been brushing for about a minute for a long time.
