In the never ending bag of gifts we got from FABB Events was a selection of products from North West-based bargain beauty brand Derma V10. We had the choice of skincare products, hair dyes and mascaras. Not dying my hair and having a choice of mascaras to go through I thought I’d go for the skincare products.
As you can see its quite the haul. We each got the choice of six products, and a pair of lip balms.
Of the options we had to choose from on the day I decided to indulge my sweet tooth and go for everything chocolate scented.
To start with I had to do a patch test as I have quite sensitive skin and do suffer from eczema. I’ve been really cautious after I had a nasty reaction to fairly expensive but very perfumed body lotion a few years ago that left with me a rash and needing antihistamines.
But even though the range is really cheap – priced from 99p – it was fine on my moody skin.
Trying the cocoa body lotion I loved the smell but the formula was a bit too runny for me and took a bit of work to get it rubbed in. But I did feel moisturised afterwards.
The chocolate-scented body butter left me hungry all day. The scent is quite strong and long-lasting. And the cream itself is great. Rich and creamy, it absorbed quickly and I didn’t have the feeling of it on the surface of my skin, which I did with the lotion. Definitely looking forward to using it again.
